What is Langtoun Maltings?
Langtoun Maltings doesn’t feel like a single development. Rather, you see a collection of individual homes – from two bedroom apartments through to five bedroom terraced and detached houses.
The homes
Almost every style of dwelling is represented across the 200 homes – split roughly 50/50 between houses and apartments.
Terraces and semi-detached houses sit next to apartment buildings, while roof heights and architectural details are varied – all gathered around a new public square, with specially commissioned artwork.
Our approach
The most successful housing is built around classic principles – including easy pedestrian access, nearby shops and amenities, and a focus on people interacting with people.
Cars are kept in parking courts and garages behind the properties. The houses and apartments form compact squares, connected by short avenues and interlaced with open footpaths. And the traffic is restricted to low, safe speeds.
